This is pretty much identical to “Jacob’s Ladder” from September 19, 2006. The only difference is, I changed the aspect ratio and changed the colors to red and green gradients.

A Mandelbrot set image using the “stalk” orbit trap. Mandelbrot plots, unlike Julia set plots, reward deep zooms with unexpected new details. I’ll show a great zoom into this image in a future Fractal of the Week.
