A Julia fractal based on a point off of the “tip” of the Mandelbrot set.

A very slight zoom into a Julia set with the stalk option turned on.

I showed this to a colleague and he suggested that’s what it looks like (neurons, that is).

My stepdaughter Jennifer found this one. She browsed to an interesting part of the Mandelbrot Set with Fractal Domains, and then we decided to turn on the “stalk” option and the picture you see below appeared as if by magic. I think this is one of the more dramatic images I’ve generated with …
